2017-18 AAA Regional All-Star Program
Submitted By Steve Zanon on Tuesday, April 11, 2017
It is that exciting time again where the Ontario Ringette Association calls for the formation of 6 Regional All-Star Teams (every two years). The Southern Region AAA team will form for the 2017-18 round and will compete with the other regions in three sanctioned Challenge Cups and the Ontario Winter Games. The locations of the three 2017-2018 Challenge Cups have yet to be announced.  Read on to find out how you could potentially participate on the Southern Region AAA team.  Evaluation Camps will be held on May 6th and 7th followed by a Selection Camp the following weeked (by invitation only).

The City of Orillia and partner communities in the Simcoe County region will host the Ontario Winter Games March 1st to 4th, 2018.

This is an especially important year in that those athletes that are looking to try out for Team Ontario that competes at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta, need to be members of a AAA Regional All-Star Team in 2017-18.

Eligible players for this AAA season will be 18 years of age or younger, but not younger than 14 years of age, as of December 31, 2017. We welcome all players in this age group to the Evaluation Tryout Camp – those who are looking to make the AAA playing roster or the Development Player roster, or those who are just looking for feedback on improving their game.
